Mariella Governo è consulente e docente di comunicazione d'impresa, dopo oltre 25 anni di lavoro manageriale in quattro aziende. È professore a contratto presso l’Università Bocconi di Milano.

Laureata presso l’Università Statale di Milano in lettere moderne (indirizzo storico-artistico), master 1^ livello in Comunicazione e problem solving strategico (diretto da Giorgio Nardone, 2009), è giornalista pubblicista e socia Ferpi, Federazione Relazioni Pubbliche Italiana.

Ha iniziato la professione di comunicatore d’impresa nei primi anni Ottanta all’Italtel diretta da Marisa Bellisario; ha poi guidato le strutture di comunicazione di aziende quali la Simint di Modena (abbigliamento e finanza), lo Smau (tecnologia) tra anni Novanta e Duemila, e Fondazione Fiera Milano con la realizzazione della nuova Fiera di Rho e Pero e della riqualificazione del quartiere storico cittadino.

Offre consulenze su misura su tutti gli aspetti della comunicazione d'impresa. Oltre all'Università Bocconi, è docente presso aziende e associazioni sulle tecniche di ufficio stampa e di comunicazione di impresa, comunicazione scritta e linguaggio web, oltre a corsi mirati di learning by doing.

Attualmente vive tra Milano e Castelletto Ticino sul Lago Maggiore.

Mariella Governo is a consultant and lecturer in corporate communication, with 25 years of managerial work. She is also Professor at Bocconi University in Milan.

Graduated at the University of Milan in modern literature (specialized in History and Art) with a Master’s Degree in Strategic Communication and Problem Solving (directed by Giorgio Nardone, 2009), she is a freelance journalist and member of Ferpi, Italian Public Relations Association.

She started her professional career in the early eighties at Italtel, a telecommunication company directed by Marisa Bellisario. She later became head of the communications department of companies such as Simint in Modena (clothing and finance), Smau (trade fair Information Technology) and Fondazione Fiera Milano, where she was responsible for communication issues regarding the construction of the new exhibition fair in Rho Pero (in the outskirts of Milan) and the redevelopment of the historic exhibition location in Milan. Today she runs her own business, providing tailor-made courses and advice on all aspects of business communication.

She gives lectures at Bocconi University (Communication and Marketing) and holds professional courses about press office work and corporate communication issues, written communication, web design, as well as targeted learning by doing courses.

She runs her business in Milan and spends most of her free time at Lake Maggiore, close to the Swiss Alps.
